In Oracle Enterprise Asset management module, we can make system to allow or avoid the work order scheduling for the week end using the below steps
Navigation: Enterprise Asset Management responsibility > Setup > Routing > Department > button Resources

For the resources there are 2 options for scheduling:
1. If one checks "Available 24 hours per day" flag then one will not be able to assign shifts for that reasource. When creating the work orders system will not look into the Work Calendar, so it will schedule work orders even during off days.
2. If you un-check "Available 24 hours per day" flag then you must choose a shift, and if in that shift definition the week end days are off days, you will not get work order in the week end.
